R and Sweave in TextMate
Here is a short screencast showing a bit of how it feels to use TextMate for R and Sweave. If you’ve never seen Sweave and Literate Programming before, now is the time to start!
Anyway, here is the screencast, about 3.5MB and 4 minutes long. The volume is quite soft, and I’m afraid I don’t even show you want key-presses are used, so this is more to get a feel for how it would be.

Hi,
Are you still working on the R Console bundle? I keep getting a NSReceiverEvaluationScriptError: 4 (1) no matter what I do. The R bundle works fine though.

@Marco,
Haven’t really had much time to work on it. My main goal for the R stuff is to talk to an R process on the background, instead of using Applescript, so I probably won’t mess much with the bundle before managing that.
Are you sure the lines you use start with a “> “, and that R is running at the time? Perhaps you might even need to make the R console the active window.

Gotta say, I’d be sooo super interested if textmade / R bundle could talk to R in the background & work in a similar fashion to emacs’ embedded R console … ie. execute a line (inside the embedded/background R workspace) from your textmate document, keeping the R console output visible without losing focus on your R document so you can keep adding/coding to your textmate doc.

Likewise, I can’t express how super mega awesomely excited I’d be by the capability to send single lines (or highlighted blocks of text ….) to (any) R process, [preferably one which I can also interact with directly] without losing focus in my textmate editor window.
