New textmate beta
Yes folks, what we’ve all been waiting for, a new beta of TextMate! I’m really excited. I’ve been checking out some of the new possibilities of TextMate, and I got to say, I love it! It can now be used as a service, i.e. you can use it as an editor while completing a webform in your browser which is really great!
I’m also trying to learn some Markdown and see if I can use it. Markdown allows you to write a text file that can be easily converted to html, with emphasis tags, headings, lists etc. The point is that the text file would look good, and yet be able to produce nice html.
And of course, TextMate has a syntax for Markdown, and in fact I just added two commands to help with the creation of headings. It was a couple of hours well spent.
I’ve been also playing with LatexIt, a neat little app that allows you to create an image from a latex equation. I just used it to get this:
pretty nifty, eh?
Later.
